A couple of weeks ago, we talked about the joint office furniture design project between Allsteel and BMW. Today, another luxury automaker is in the spotlight with some seriously high performance office furniture. Actually, the credit goes to South African designer Katie Thompson who has “recreated” a used Mercedes Benz as an office chair and desk. Each touch is a stroke of genius. The perforated brake pads serve as a pen holder. The lamp is made from the rearview mirror and the dash now features clocks for three time zones where the dials and gauges used to be. You can guess what the seat was turned into!
