Duct Tape and Office Furniture


A couple of weeks ago, we talked about ways to keep your office furniture looking new. Sometimes, new is too much to hope for and you have to settle for just keeping things together until you can afford to buy more office furniture. Then, it’s time to bring out the duct tape. Earth 911 shows how one contestant “upgraded” her office chair’s peeling arm rests with zebra printed duct tape. That’s one way to reuse in style. Another creative worker went one better and constructed an office chair completely out of Styrofoam and duct tape. He may single-handedly save the planet!

Cubicles are another type of office furniture that is ripe for a duct tape makeover. Check out how employees are using tape and cardboard to add doors and roofs to their cubes. Of course, there’s also the prank factor to consider. Completely covering the opening to your coworker’s cubicle with duct tape apparently only takes 30 minutes. That’s a lunch break well spent…
