Don’t Sacrifice Your Body for Your Office Furniture

Have you ever gone clothes shopping and ended up totally frustrated because it seems like your body is all wrong for the apparel that’s in style? In fact, you shouldn’t feel bad about the size or shape of your figure. It’s the clothes that should be made to fit you, not the other way around. The same goes for office furniture and technology.

Herman Miller makes that point very well in a recent workplace ergonomics video about listening to your body. Aches, twinges, and tension aren’t something you should learn to ignore. Instead, you should pay close attention to what discomfort is telling you about your work posture. Watch the video and see if the “turtle” posture looks familiar to you. It might be little things like this that are slowing you down at your job.
